You get an email when a customer signs or declines, and the quote turns Accepted or Rejected by itself.
Payments go to your business's own Stripe account and out to your bank. Conduit never holds your money.
Hand your customer your tablet to sign before you leave, then show a QR code so they pay on their own phone. You never take their card.
Record what you're paid in person, so the balance is always right. Paid in full, the invoice turns Paid.
The signature
Every answer is kept as it was given and never edited. Your customer gets their signed copy by email, and you can open it from the invoice.
Fees
Signing is part of every plan. Online payments cost a small fee on each payment, and nothing else.
Questions
No. They sign in with a link emailed to them. With the same email address they see every quote and invoice you've sent them.
An admin sets one up from the Payments page in Conduit, on Stripe's own pages. Stripe asks for your business and bank details and decides whether to approve the account. Signing works without one.
Yes. Open the saved quote and hand them your device. It's the same signature and the same record, noting who collected it, and they still get their signed copy by email.
No. They sign the quote first, then pay. Paying never stands in for agreeing to the quote.
Yes. They choose the amount, from $1 up to what's still due, and can pay again later. Conduit works out the balance from the payments, and the invoice turns Paid once it's paid in full.
Your business does. Payments are made to your own Stripe account, so refunds come from it and you answer any dispute in your Stripe Dashboard. You can refund all or part of an online payment from the invoice in Conduit, and Conduit gives back its fee on what you refund.
Not yet. Online payments are for US businesses, in US dollars.
